36th BCS final result published

Final results of the 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations have been published on Tuesday.

The authorities recommended 2,323 for various cadre positions, Public Service Commission Chairman Mohammad Sadiq told reporters.

He informed that 5,631 passed the written and oral stages of the exam, but of them 2,323 were selected for recommendations as there is limited vacancies.

The rest 3,308 will have to wait before they are given first or second grade non-cadre positions.

These left out candidates will have to formally request the commission to put them on the waiting list and they will be prioritised based on the exam marks.

The BPSC chairman said they have asked every ministry to employ as many of these candidates as possible.

The results can be accessed by sending texts to 16222 from TeleTalk mobile phone connections. For that, ‘PSC’ space 36 space the candidate’s registration number must be typed into an SMS.

The BPSC authorities said the results of 37th BCS written exams will be released next week.

A total 211,326 sat for the 36th BCS preliminary test, of them 13,830 were cleared for the written test. Among those who cleared the phase, 5,990 were called for taking the oral test.
