Vikings restricted the Riders to 155 for 8 in 20 overs after setting a target of 167 with Luke Ronchi’s fastest fifty of the season.
Ravi Bopara was the top scorer with 38 off 32 balls with the help of three boundaries and one six, reports UNB.
He was run out at 105/6 in the 13th over when pacer Taskin Ahmed also missed a chance of hat-trick.
Player of the match Taskin grabbed two wickets-Shahriar Nafees and Samiullah Shenwari-in successive 4th and 5th balls of his 2nd over keeping Rangpur total on 105 runs before Bopara was out in the last ball of the over when Taskin bowled to Thisara Perera.

Taskin captured three wickets for 31 runs in four overs while Luis Reece got two for 26 also in four overs. Sunzamul Islam and Subashis Roy took one wicket each for 21 and 35 runs in two and four overs respectively.
Earlier, Chittagong Vikings collected 166 for 4 in 20 overs although they were on 99/2 in 8.5 overs riding on this season’s fastest fifty scored by opener Luke Ronchi off 19 balls on his way to 78 off 35 balls, including seven boundaries and seven sixes.
Ronchi, who top-scored with 40 runs in the 1st match for Chittagong, got companion of Soumya Sarkar in the opening stand of 59 off 4.4 overs and shared another partnership of 40 off 4.1 overs with Dilshan Munaweera in the 2nd wicket stand before he was caught by Ziaur Rahman off Ravi Bopara on 99/2 in 8.5 overs.
Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq scored unbeaten 31 off 32 balls, including one boundary, while Anamul Haque (17* off 14b) and Luis Reece (10 off 16b) were the other double digit scorers for Chittagong.
Ravi Bopara got two wickets for 14 runs in three overs while Thisara Perera and skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza took one wicket each for 16 and 28 runs in two and four overs.
